Great names of Scripture, such as Moses, David, Peter, and Paul, can sometimes make faith feel like something for extraordinary people in extraordinary times.

But the Bible is full of quieter witnesses: an innkeeper’s daughter who knows where to hide men of God; a widow who gives everything she has; a general who cannot quite believe that washing in a river will cure him; a soldier who breaks ranks to tell the truth at a trial. These people are not famous. They are not always confident. Some are afraid. But they act in faith - and that act changes things.

This series takes six themes central to the life of faith and illuminates each one through the stories of these less celebrated characters. Old and New Testament, men and women, insiders and outsiders, ordinary moments and genuinely dramatic ones together offer a rich picture of what it looks like to simply get on with living faithfully.

 

 

The study  is formatted such that each individual study can be printed off on 2 double-sided sheets of A4 for distribution to a group, or distributed by email. If you're using it with more than one group, it would be appreciated if you could consider purchasing one study per group!
